Cemvita Factory is on a mission to reverse the effects of climate change. By using synthetic biology, Cemvita engineers microbes to utilize carbon dioxide and methane as a feedstock for the production of carbon-negative industrial chemicals. Their clients are oil and gas, chemical, mining, and aerospace companies that strive to apply nature-inspired technologies to reduce their carbon footprint while creating new revenue streams. Cemvita was recognized as one of twelve winners of the 2021 BloombergNEF Pioneers, has been chosen to participate in the first cohort of the Carbon to Value accelerator program, and will be partnering with Oxy Low Carbon Ventures to construct and operate a bio-ethylene pilot plant that will replace hydrocarbon-sourced feedstocks with human-made carbon dioxide.

Terra.do is an online climate school on a mission to transition 100M people into climate work by 2030. After selecting talented individuals for a cohort, Terra.do’s programming educates members about a variety of climate issues, introduces them to a network of mentors, and exposes them to career opportunities in the climate space. Since its inception in 2020, Terra.do has graduated 500+ fellows from 25 countries and developed topical programs on hydrogen, climate tech venture investing, agriculture resilience, green buildings, climate justice, and more. Terra.do successfully raised a $1.4M seed round led by Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs, BEENEXT, and Rainmatter Capital.
