Water conveyance infrastructure such as canals have historically been a cost burden for owners, Emrgy is reimagining that idea by offering a revenue-generating solution that harnesses water flow for energy production. Emrgy provides clean energy generation by placing hydrokinetic turbines in canals. The company’s 5-20 kW, modular hydropower turbines integrate flexibly into megawatt scale arrays within existing canals to generate continuous renewable electric power using innovative hardware and software technology. Last year Energy was awarded $3.6M in funding from the DOE for hydrokinetic turbine development. This is in addition to a previous $2M they have gotten from federally sponsored R&D funding.

Agreed Earth Ltd.
Agreed is the intelligent marketplace of regenerative agriculture, helping farmers transition to - and profit from - sustainable farming practices. There are several reasons why farmers are not adopting more sustainable farming practices at the pace and scale needed to address the climate emergency. These include not having access to the right knowledge, networks and financing. Agreed draws on data analytics, machine learning, satellite imagery and behavioral science principles to overcome these barriers and start farmers on the path to sustainable profitability. Agreed was one of the eight teams funded out of Carbon13 'Venture Builder for the Climate Crisis' and as well as a participant in the AgLaunch's accelerator in US, and a current participant in NIAB’s Barn4 accelerator in the UK.
