Good Agriculture
#️⃣ regenerative agriculture, land-use, office management
Good Agriculture is making the transition to regenerative farming easier so farmers can take advantage of the commitments for regenerative practices from large corporate buyers and grants (including $20B in the IRA). Critically, Good Agriculture has built out proprietary tools for the grant search and application process, which are packaged alongside other services to manage all of the back office for small and mid-sized farm owners.
The MVP includes grant, finance, and marketing tools already, and the team is interested to add proprietary insurance and operational analysis systems and integrated tools from partners to measure carbon and certifications. Good Agriculture has 35 farmers to date on the platform with zero churn on the subscription product and a 100% net promoter score. Good Agriculture recently graduated from the Techstars Impact accelerator.

COnovate
#️⃣ batteries, materials manufacturing
Credits: COnovate
COnovate is commercializing a patented advanced carbon material for lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and other applications. Their patented eCOphite™ material is the first known form of solid carbon monoxide at room temperature and pressure with a unique set of useful properties (semiconductor, strong, flexible, stable, and thermally conductive). COnovate has recently demonstrated that eCOphite can be made from bio-sourced feedstocks offering localized and sustainable supply versus current mined battery materials from high-risk geographies.
The team has been awarded $3.6M in grant funding from multiple federal agencies. COnovate is working with Argonne National Laboratory, materials processors and third-party validators to demonstrate scaling capability with a continuous manufacturing process and large scale battery performance.

CurubaTech is providing small farmers with access to on-demand advice and expertise on a platform tailored to the needs of farmers in Latin America. The team launched the product in Colombia and their 35 projects cover ten crop types and a third of Colombia’s regions. Farmers who use the platform have seen improved production by 40+% and reduced costs by 30+% through improved practices and reduced inputs. Non-financial benefits include the promotion of the sustainable use of natural resources and boosted support and engagement for new farmers, particularly women and younger generations.
CurubaTech has a waitlist of 2k farmers and eight strategic partners. They've recently completed Village Capital's Reshaping Consumer Behavior bootcamp and Startupbootcamp's Sustainability cohort. CurubaTech won the Farmer Impact - Thought For Food and Kirchner Foundation 2022 award.
