ClimateRaise is a newsletter for our network that showcases early-stage climate startups led by women founders, and connects them with climate ecosystem partners. The newsletter is short and to the point. We want to provide you with useful information, not flood your inbox with yet another lengthy publication.
How it works:
🔎 We find great, vetted, women-led climate startups.
📝 Our biweekly newsletter then highlights a diverse selection of those startups, and gives you the opportunity to opt-in for 1:1 introductions to the featured founders.
🔗 We’ll get opt in and then connect you with those founders ASAP!
How we define climate startups:
We’ll be featuring companies that: (1) mitigate the causes of climate change by reducing GHG emissions or increasing GHG removal; and/or (2) provide climate change adaptation solutions. We will not be featuring companies that are simply “eco-friendly” or companies whose business and impact models aren’t linked.

Emrgy: Emrgy delivers clean, reliable hydropower without the need for construction or dams. Emrgy’s hydropower “arrays” transform water infrastructure into power projects that generate a new revenue stream, reduce grid power consumption, and contribute to a global reduction in carbon emissions.
Since it was founded in 2014, Emrgy has sold and installed new hydroelectric equipment with large partners including the City of Atlanta, Southern Company, and Denver Water to demonstrate distributed hydropower as an attractive alternative/complement to solar and wind power. In 2019, Emrgy entered into a Global Partnership with GE Renewable Energy, who is now manufacturing and selling Emrgy’s product in select markets outside the US. The company expects to close 7 new sales contracts by the end of 2020, and anticipates closing an $8-12 million growth equity round in Q2 2021.
